Wind, Water, Temperature, and Flame

Countless hours of research and development, tests and evaluations, in close collaboration with Burlington Labs has allowed Wild Things to offer a best-in-class solution for wind, water, temperature, and flame protection with the WT Tactical FR Smoking Jacket®.

Flame-Resistant Neck Seal

The WT Tactical FR Smoking Jacket® features an innovative neck seal engineered to keep flames away from skin and base layers while acting as a typical high protective collar found in many of our other pieces.

Protected Pit Zips

FR extends to every detail of the FR Smoking Jacket® including optional pit zips. When closed, flames stay out.

Water-Resistant Shell with Minimal Seams

The FR Smoking Jacket® is designed to function, wear, and pack as a lightweight insulated jacket. A water-resistant shell combined with minimal seaming keeps water out.

2 Ounce PrimaLoft® Insulation

The FR Smoking Jacket® features 2 oz PrimaLoft Insulation, offering an incredibly soft, lightweight, breathable, synthetic insulation that is extremely packable. Hydrophilic and able to maintain loft after years of use, users remain dry, warm and comfortable even in the most extreme weather conditions.

Burn protection

Burn tests with our Insulated FR Smoking Jacket® have provided us with valuable data to provide our users with the best possible balance of warmth, packability, and burn protection. In a four second continuous flame in the NC State Pyro-man Burn Chamber, the test mannequin experienced zero burns to the body while wearing our jacket over a cotton t-shirt.
